Certified Angus Beef
Tri Tip is typically around 2 pounds and comes from the bottom sirloin of the beef. This cut is a neighbor to the bavette and has a rich beef flavor. This is a nicely marbled cut with minimal fat. It's important to cut the meat against the grain in narrow pieces for ultimate melt in your mouth flavor and tenderness. Watch for the two distinct patterns of the grain. Searing in a cast iron pan, then finishing in the oven for a medium rare doneness sound delicious.
Here at Kurth Valley Farm, we are a small family farm dedicated to raise Angus cattle that bring the best possible quality meat to your plate. Beef are then fed a ration of primarily hay and some corn for that exceptional marbling and tenderness. All our crops fed are grown right here by us.
