A whole beef has a hanging weight of approximately 900 pounds. We charge by the pound based on hanging weight.
USDA Select $4.11
USDA Choice that does not meet the CAB standards $4.27
USDA Prime & Certified Angus Beef $4.49 (USDA Prime or High Choice)
This is a deposit for a whole beef of your quality grade selection (see options above). Plan on approximately 530 lbs of meat for the freezer (this can vary depending on the desired cuts, bone-in roasts and burger). Plan on 16-18 cubic feet of freezer space.
Either I or the processor can fill out a cutting order where we discuss your specific requests. Processing runs about $1.40 per pound based on the hanging weight. You can pick up the order from the processor.
Example: A whole, Certified Angus Beef would average 900 pounds at $4.49/lb for a total or $4041 paid to Kurth Valley Farm. A $1000 deposit is required to book a whole beef, so the final payment would be $4041 less the $1000 deposit for a balance of $3041. This price does not include processing. Processing cost will vary on your cutting order but will approximately be $1200 paid to the processor. Total estimate of $5241.
I will contact you with the soonest availability. This is a nonrefundable deposit.
Here at Kurth Valley Farm, we are a small family farm dedicated to raise Angus cattle that bring the best possible quality meat to your plate. In order to bring you the best, our Angus beef are USDA graded and must meet the 10 specifications in order to qualify for Certified Angus Beef. Not all Angus is equal. Exceptional taste and flavor is of utmost priority for our customers. The cows are grazed on our beautiful Wisconsin hills, calves are born on pasture and raised by their mothers until weaning. Beef are then fed a ration of primarily hay and some corn for that exceptional marbling and tenderness. All our crops fed are grown right here by us. Thank you for considering to trust that we are working to bring you the quality you deserve on your plate.
